"Good Times!" (Reply to this comment)

Hey thanx for the info on the early '90's rave scene! I was in high school at that time and didn't know the artists and/or names of songs then. I've been trying to find out more of that genre and buy them. The only one song that I would add to your list of singles would be "O'Fortuna" by Apotheosis. You guys can't forget that one!

A good choice of tunes (Reply to this comment)

Loved bizarre inc's playing with knives and of course charly by the excellent prodigy.
Trip to the moon by acen was also good, aswell as your mentioned close our eyes.
Did you not like njoi's anthem? I would put that in as an all time classic.

A great list (Reply to this comment)

A great list from an obvious fan of the music of the era. The only fault (and small it is) I can find is no mention of Joey Beltram "Energy Flash" or anything by Altern8.
Nonetheless, a nice list.

Awesome list. (Reply to this comment)

I missed the first phase of the US rave scene and didn't start going until '94, but alot of the songs you listed were still being played. Frequently too. The only people who ever play those at clubs now, however are the Drum 'n Bass DJ's.
Another great review......

Wow, this list really makes me want to dig into my collection and listen to all the golden oldies :)
Just curious, but wouldn't Prodigy's "Charlie" be so much better without that doofus kid sample?
I enjoyed the list. Keep it up.
