Pros: Thin, light and just plain cool looking!
Cons: Adjusting the height or rotating it isn't easy. The stand is a bit too stiff.
The Bottom Line: If you're getting a TFT, this is the one. Just make sure you have a digital connection to your video card.

| draveed's Full Review: Samsung SyncMaster 191 T 19 in. Flat Panel LCD Mon... |
I was very wary of these flat panels. That all changed when my roommate bought his 191T. First, just on looks, I think it's the best out there. The screen has a border about a 1/4 to 1/2 of an inch wide. It makes it very clean looking.
Once you turn it on you see the screen quality is great. I have no complaints. It was when I watched my roommate play Serious Sam on it, it was settled. I had to have my own.
When I first received it, my computer only had a Winfast GeForce DDR. As you can imagine, it looked pretty lousy on the old card, especially with the analog connection. Soon after though I upgraded to my current Radeon 9700 Pro. Wow what a world of difference that was! Images were sharp and clean.
Installation was as simple as a regular CRT monitor. Just plug it in. The LCD autodetects which connection (analog or digital) you're using.
I didn't bother with the Pivot software that's included. My roommate uses it though. He likes to keep his turned on its side for regular use. You get more screen room for reading documents, web pages, etc. It's simple to switch back and forth. The Pivot software runs in the background. When you want to rotate your screen image, right click on the icon in the system tray. Then you choose from the four directions the image can be rotated (0, 90, 180 and 270 degrees from normal). It takes about two seconds to switch.
