If you are looking for trendy clothing and apparel for kids, sizes 7-16, I recommend abercrombiekids.com. This merchant is one of the online stores that my oldest daughter, soon to be 13, likes to browse at. It is important to note that Abercrombie & Fitch Kids Online Store is an upscale shop, with pricing that is more appreciated at the sale level. However this retailer does stand behind the merchandise, offering a fairly liberal return policy, with receipt. Online graphics provide excellent representation of the products offered, and this web merchant offers helpful features, such as the changing room feature. This feature allows the shopper to view possible clothing purchases together, giving a realistic visual of the outfit. Graphics are available for each color of every item. In all the attention to detail at the site offers realistic glimpses are apparel and accessories. Order completion is simplistic and communication is splendid. I receive emails confirming receipt of order and shipment information. The orders arrive in the stated period of time. My orders have been accurate and charges to my card were correct. I am pleased with abercrombiekids.com and will continue to shop at this site.

My oldest daughter likes a majority of the clothing from this store, but she isn't overly fond of shopping at the brick and mortar store. The music is loud (not a problem for me), the racks are very close together, and at times the merchandise is rather picked over. So the online store is a wonderful option for browsing the apparel and accessories. She likes to visit the changing room and create various outfits. This feature allows you to interchange ensemble choices, allowing you a visual of the outfit. The images show in the middle. To the right is a menu, allowing you to scroll all available items that are within the primary department you are shopping (girls or boys). On the left are boxes allowing you to select the color and size of the item being viewed. Do you want a different color? No problem, just select it, and **Yippie!** the graphic changes to show you the actual color. Want a closer look? Just click on the image and view the enlarged image. On the top right corner of the zoomed image you can opt to proceed to the next color.
This merchant is pricey (yet the quality is great) so we try to shop the sale categories. Because the merchandise is durable, and the clothing holds a great resale value, I will pay full price for certain items (such as jeans and khaki's). It also helps that this merchant carries girls pants in slim sizing. My daughter has always required slim sized pants, so merchants that cater to that are often placed among our favorites.
Navigation is splendid at this site with the exception of the rich graphics that cause a minor delay, to which I fault our dreaded dial-up connection. From the home page you will choose from the two departments: girls or boys. Everything is clearly marked and all of the apparel and accessories are within categories. For example, normally I am visiting this merchant to purchase fashion items for my oldest daughter (currently 12). I select 'shop' from the home page, select 'girls' and arrive at the girl's home page. This takes me to a page that allows me to select from categories: "knits, tanks/camis, sheer graphics, graphic tees, shirts, sweaters, fleece, outerwear, shorts, skirts/skorts, pants, denim, athletics, sleepwear, undies, flip flops, hats, bags, perfume, sale tops, sale graphics, sale bottoms, or sale accessories". The attention to detail at this site is remarkable, allowing a graphic to show for each product name scrolled over. This feature holds true at each page. For example, upon selecting sale accessories, I am taken to a page that lists each item, a small graphic of the item (that you scroll over) appears to the left side of the listing.
Returns are simple to complete; they're allowed via Smart Label™ mail return or in store. I have never been challenged with regard to exchanges or returns, but I have always had my invoice.
The closest store is approximately 30-40 minutes from our home, thus another reason for adoring the online shopping option. Additionally –as mentioned– the storefront is usually crowded, picked over, and loud. While I don't have a problem with the music they play, it –at times- overwhelms my daughter, making it impossible to make purchase selections. On the other hand, she and I can pull our chairs up to the computer and shop with ease.
This merchant provides free gift boxes, gift wrapping is available for a small charge. Please note that normally shipped packages have a label including the store name.
Unlike the Abercrombie & Fitch Online Store, the kids site refrains from showing nude models or selling thong underwear. This site is safe to browse with young ones present.
We are satisfied with Abercrombie & Fitch Kids Online Store and will continue to patronize them.
