The Bottom Line If you have money to burn and no common sense, do it!
There is absolutely no viable justification for paying to have an online subscription to a newspaper. There are numerous sources of free news all over the web; I can not think of one positive or plausible reason to pay to get news over the world wide internet. Think about it. The news is really basically the same no matter where you get it, whether that is from the newspaper, radio, television, or the internet. What would be the reasoning to pay for something that can be obtained elsewhere for free when it is exactly the same product. There is no logic to this idea at all. I mean, no rational thought process can convince me otherwise. I certainly realize that there are some things that we can get free elsewhere that we pay for now. For example, some people buy bottled water instead of drinking that comes from the tap. But, there is a difference in the product there. Unless someone can come up with news that has added value ( doubtful as I can not see how ), there is no justification in paying for it. In summary, avoid any web site that requires you to pay a monthly subscription in order to get the news. In the end, the headline that would apply to you is "Sucker Gets Taken To The Cleaners!". |
