My son is into these old NEC games and wanted these hard to find games. He found Buyritegames.com. He begged me to order for him, he gave me the money and I finally gave in and said yes.
This is a very nice website, its very colorful, the site is fast and navigation of the site is very easy. There are different game systems, when you click you can select all the games for that system, including imported games. I believe they have everything. I did not hesitate to get the games for him. He selects them and of course they are all in stock. I fill out all of the ordering information and look for shipping info. Where is the shipping costs?? I found the shipping information toward the bottom. I read it but I still do not know how they based the shipping charges. My son is not caring...he just wants the games so I click place the order. I pay with a credit card. This site takes all credit cards and they take paypal and COD. I get a shipping charge of $18.00. I think this is high but my son claims the games are so cheap it doesn't matter, the whole order came to about $79. I really like to know what the shipping is before I order not after. I immediately get a confirmation number and a message that I will get an email.
Everyday now I waiting for the email. When are they shipping? Two weeks go by... I go to the site and look for a phone number. I click contact information, this is an online contact form.. no number is here. I send them an email regarding my order. I finally find a number under the shipping information. I call that number it is busy. I keep trying and its always busy. I try for several days now..........STILL BUSY!!!! Finally, I get through. There are so many prompts and numbers to push I felt like I was going in circles trying to find the right number to push. This goes on for awhile. The message is talking so fast and has a ton of prompts to push. I finally find the right one. I don't know how but I got through. A female answered and I ask about the order. I give the name and she looks it up. She says we are out of and starts rattling off so fast the names of the games that are not shipping. I said WHAT? I can hardly understand her, she just sounded like I was bothering her. Tell me what you are shipping I ask. She tells me the names and it is only 3 out of the 10 that were ordered. She says they were shipped out the day before. I said fine, I ask her what about the out of stock games? She says there out of them and my card will only be charged the the ones shipped.
Meantime..during my wait, I read about this site here at epinions. I can't believe I didn't come here first. I even do some research online and find other horror stories about this site. Now I am getting worried. Did they rip me off? Meantime I signed up online with my credit card and I do see the charge on my statement appearing about a week after I placed the order but its $28. So they didn't charge me for the whole order, I was relieved.
About 2 weeks after my phone call, the package shows up in a USPS priority envelope with a delivery confirmation on it. I open it up and its 2 games in the envelope not 3. The packing slip says 3 games shipped and none back ordered.
THE GAMES ARE LOOSE, NO PADDING, NO CASES, NO SHRINK WRAP, NO NOTHING, they are used dirty games. I knew that they were used but could they at least clean them first?? They just stuck them in the priority envelope. One of the games was really dirty. Looks like some food stuck on it, just a lumpy brown chunk of something...YUCK! I had to get the lysol wipes out and clean these up. I read about these things happening to other people when I did some research on this company, but now I really believe it because it happened to me.
OK now I have to call this place again. Where is that 3rd game they claim they sent? The phone is busy for days again, I also send them multiple emails. I'm thinking now do I dispute this with my credit card company? The delivery confirmation will say its delivered. I call a few more times and finally get through. I wait and finally get a human being. I tell her one of the games is missing, she puts me on hold..she comes back on and says we will give you a credit. I then tell her do not send me those other games if they come in. She says they will not because they don't have them. What more can I do but to take her word. This call was made today. I hope to see the credit. I will have to contact my credit card company to make sure they do not charge me for anything else.
I am convinced this is run out of someone's garage, they lead you to believe you are ordering something and they don't even have it in stock, but let you order it anyway. They are very hard to contact and to this day every email I sent have been unanswered.
STAY AWAY FROM HERE!! In total it took 4 weeks to get the order and even then it was not the whole order. I thought I was ordering 10 games only 2 arrive, but they charge me for 3. They also will not send any email confirmation or even answer emails.
