If you are like me and were dumb enough to buy a computer so small that you can't put an internal CD burner in, the CRX1600L-A2 is the best solution. I knew that I wanted a fast CD burner (no point in buying obsolete products) and it had to be an external drive. The only solution came in the form of a firewire drive. This is the one that is the most cost effective I could find.

DO NOT listen to people when they complain about error with the drive. There are none. They are just dumbarses. You just plug it in and go. That’s it no drivers to install. You do have to install the software to burn CDs with if you already don’t have any, but other than that, it is “as easy as pie”.

Burning at 12x is extremely nice because it only takes about five minutes, extremely nice for audio CDs.

This is my first CD burner but I can honestly say that it is a very good product from a very good company.
