Thanks Sanjay. Yea, I know what you mean about the GSM coverage in the US, although it is very quickly growing. Really... Illinois didn't have it as recently as 2 years ago, and now I rarely go through a part of the state where I have no signal. My own theory is that the US markets are always so hellbent on making products backward compatible (god forbid that the person who still has his cell from the 80's shouldn't be able to use it! ha ha ha) that they lag on newer technology. It's almost like the US companies prefer to have good customer service to actual service. But that's improving. Slightly...
Enjoy your Nokia 3650! I now use mine as a modem as well, and it just rocks. Got my husband the stylish and new Samsung E715 (he needs a flip phone to carry in his pocket) and beside the flash on the camera it doesn't even come close to my phone's capabilities, and neither does Samsung as a company (e.g., their GPRS software is awful & their syncing software is only good for crashing). -Naomi

nokia doesnt like the US ay... (Reply to this comment)

...and i can see why. they make only, what, 2 models on the CDMA network out of their whole product range. and i understand from reading some other reviews that GSM coverage is abysmal in the US so you can hardly expect nokia to want to keep making phones for a country that uses such an obscure network. but those points aside you have made me very happy seeing as i am expecting one of these phones to come in this week. cheers for outlining all this phone can do!

Thanks Ben! Everyone who sees this phone in my hands wants to know everything about it, so I pretty much had my review composed before writing it.
Thanks for reading,
