Pros: Good Suction, Long cord and hose.
Cons: A little heavy, foot pedal a bit stiff
The Bottom Line: If you want suction with large range of height settings, for carpets and hard floors + durability - This model has it.

I have owned this vacuum from new for 18months now and it is very good. The suction is really great. The rollers stop turning if using hose only, cleaning stairs, skirt boards etc(not all hoovers do this and carpets could burn if rollers keep turning).
The hose can be altered to 3 lengths with longest being more than adequate, no bending which is great. The tools are useful also but I agree storage could be better. However this is not a big problem. Also I found the foot pedal a little stiff.
The bags seem to last a long time and are easy to change. Instruction booklet easy to understand.
The vacuum is brilliant on carpets and hard floors(best I've ever had in 30yrs!) with a large range of height settings.
The vacuum came with full details of the Company Eureka if you need to contact them for anything with a toll free number given. I have not had any problems at all with this vacuum so not needed to call them.
I researched vacuums on the Internet at the time I bought this model and it was not easy to obtain. Major outlets didn't have it and I ended up using www.abcvacuum.com who sent it at great price(forgotten exactly) and it arrived in a few days.
I don't know if this model is still available but a Eureka vacuum would be worth considering(read reviews!).
It might be a little heavy for a frail person or someone who has to constantly climb lots of stairs but I don't think this model is bad at all. Not many cleaners are exactly light and this model has the suction we, after all, need it for so I guess that takes some machinery.
