magazine doesn't arrive, customer service doesn't reply to emails (Reply to this comment)
by bloed
I bought a subscription 15 weeks ago. After 11 weeks I emailed the address specified in the order confirmation email. No reply. I re-sent the email after 12 weeks. No reply. Same thing after 13 weeks. At the same time I filled out a support form on the website. Got a reply, telling me valuemags' customer support has tried to contact the magazine, but no one answered the phone. After 14 weeks I emailed to find out what they had found out from the magazine people. And guess what...no reply. I just requested to have my money refunded which was -by the way- taken from my credit card 4 days after I submitted my order....
When something similar happened with another company (snappymags), they apologized and offered a free subscription to make up for their mistake.
Bottom line: Slow, or no, customer service, there is no phone# to be found on the website.
I cannot recommend valuemags, rather pay a few bucks more, actually get your magazine in the time frame promised and avoid the hassle and headache!

I got a surprise renewal once - once burned, twice shy. I think it is better to pay a little more and buy from a company that is honest. Thanks so much for reading and leaving a comment.

I used to answer the complaints line for a subscription service that was programmed for automatic renewals. It's rather pleasant to learn that any services don't do that anymore. Nice review!
