What a Relaxing experience!

Written: Feb 27 '01
Pros:Inexpensive
Cons:If you don't make your reservation on the net,it's pricey!
The Bottom Line: Inexpensive when reservations made ahead. Convenient location, and great breakfast.

We are a stressed out family of four. My husband works many hours to keep us afloat. Well, he worked many hours so we could take a vacation to Indiana, where I used to live, and have close friends. Since we had a 2 month old baby, it was imperative, that we stop over for a night. We needed to find something inexpensive, since things were tight. My other requirement in a place to stay was a pool. I felt it could help us relax, as we needed the relaxation.

I found and made the reservation for the location in Seville, OH, in the Akron area over the internet. I love that ten percent internet discount! The rates were very impressive, under 60.00 before taxes. It also indicated an indoor pool. We found this to be the cheapest rate on our travel route in Ohio.

We arrived at this hotel around a little after 9:00 PM at night. It was easy to find and was right off a major interstate. It took a long time for us to get checked in. This is one of two complaints I have, but a lot of it was due to a large group of people ahead of us. I was in a hurry to jump into that pool, which I glimpsed at while we were waiting. It was not a big pool, and was about 4 feet deep. But nevertheless, it was a pool. I was looking through a window to the swimming pool room from the lobby.

We settled in, and checked the room out. It was clean and close to the entrance. We were impressed with the in room coffee maker. The room was nothing fancy, but it was adequately sized with two double beds. There were a few good places to eat nearby such as a pizza place and Dairy Queen.

We went into the pool at 10:00pm. It was quiet and peaceful as can be. The pool area was very clean and kept up. There was also a weight room, but both areas closed at 11:00pm.

Another wonderful amenity with this hotel is the free continental breakfast. It had so many choices, and they even had sausage burritos, which we thought was unusual for a continental breakfast. There were bagels, English muffins, cold cereal, pastries, different kinds of juices, and great coffee with flavored creamers. We ate until we could eat no more and it was the best.

We decided to stay in the same place on the way home. However, we were not as impressed the second time around. The price was higher because we decided to stay last minute with no reservation. The hotel was much more crowded and noisy also. They were both problems beyond the hotel's control.

So in closing, overall, I highly recommend this hotel.
