| undergraduate's Full Review: Crime Stopper CS-2015FM Security and Remote Engine... |
So I have installed a few remote start/car alarm systems in my day. By far I love crimestopper and I really like their CS-2011 and CS-2015 series. These systems are basically identical, except for the fact that the 2015 series has the paging feature. I have found that these systems are very reliable and are compatible with most every car on the road. The system itself comes with almost everything you need to install it. However, you will need some connectors and maybe electrical tape in addition to everything that comes with this system. Additionally, if you have a newer car that has a transponder in the key you must buy a bypass in order for the remote start to work, however this is not a downfall of this particular system, this is a fact with the installation of any remote start system in a new car. As for installation itself, if you dont understand electronics and are not 100% confident in your installation abilities, you better have someone else install it because as with most systems like this, it can be overwhelming and complicated to a novice. With that said, here are highlights of this system.

So far this system has been working perfectly. What I love most about this system is the range. There is something to be said for a system that works a few hundred feet and through a couple of concrete steel reinforced walls. But to make up for this wonderful range you will have to put up with a rather larger pager that goes on your key chain, but it is well worth it. It is great knowing that the car can tell me if the car alarm is going off or if I have remote started the car. People will envy you if you have this system.
