This book tells you everything. It has history, Hotel guides, in the back it is like everything you need to know about Mackinac. It tells you stores, restaurants, routes to ride bikes, horse routes and everything you can imagine. If you want to go to Mackinac this is your book. The author is friendly and very energetic in her writing. She tells you the best places to do everything. Don't buy any other book this is the best for your money. If this book were a thousand dollars I would still buy it. This is how much I love it. This is not a book that after 2 or three trips is no longer any good since it has history it is good for a college history report. The one and only downside is that there are no color Pictures. This Book also gives you helpful info about the surrounding areas. At the back of the book it gives you sort of a glosary. It tells you about all of the major things. If you want a condensed source of information about one thing that is the place to go.
