The Lazy People Mop!

Cons: It's a lazy person mop that cost 20 bucks!
The Bottom Line: I do admit that I am enjoying this mop more than I thought. I have found that the cleaner does clean well and leaves a great shine behind.

Okay, so here it is, the promised review on my Swiffer® WetJet™ that I mention in my review on the Swiffer® Sweeper™ found here: http://www.epinions.com/content_109725912708. I hope you enjoy it for I am admitting that I am enjoying my new toy. Now mind you I did say when these new lazy people mops came out that I was not going to buy one for I was NOT beneath wringing a normal, corded nylon/cloth mop out with my hands. Heck I have been using these types of mops for a long time. And I just could not see stooping to a level so low in life that allowed me to pay good, hard earned money for one of the lazy people mops.
But, as bad health would have it I cannot any longer use my durable all my life mop because I just can't wring the old thing out any more. And so, here I have stooped to this low level and bought one of these lazy people mops and I saved 5 bucks as well, which made it a lot easier to buy.
The Product
The Swiffer® WetJet™ power mop with Jet-Action sprayer will clean through though dirt and stains with an advanced cleaning solution that dissolves that dirt and greasy stains that wound up on your kitchen and bathroom floors! (I learned this the hard way in life buy having to buy one of the contraptions.)
You will find 3 components in your starter kit for 19.97 that are called the Sweeper, which is lightweight and easy to use with the sprayer and has a flexible swiveled head that will help you get those hard to reach places. I have to say here that I really like this feature because right underneath the cabinets you have that place where all the food, dirt and dust seem to go and this mop cleans this narrow place really well.
The cleaning pads are the 2nd thing you will find in your colorful purple box and these pads are super absorbent with a triple layer that traps dirt because there are these neat cuffs on the edge of them that help to keep the dirt off the floors as you clean. You see the pad is designed to absorb as you go allowing the dirt to go into these specially designed cuffs and trap it there. Each pad should clean about 2 large rooms or you can use until you think it needs to be replaced, which is pretty easy to see after each use. In between use though the pad does dry and I use it again. You will get 6 of these pads in your starter kit.
And of course the cleaner is the 3rd thing you will get in your kit. That will be a 33.8 fl oz bottle that turns upside down into the sprayer. These bottles are specially made for this product and so far mine has not leaked. The cleaner is safe for marble, stone, vinyl and linoleum and ceramic tiled floors. There is also a special formulated cleaner just for hardwood floors. The refill bottle is around 3.50 depending on where you buy it at and as mentioned there are other companies that now have their products available for this lazy person mop.
Putting It Together and Company Info
There are 3 parts to the handle that all fit together by screwing on into the other. You can easily see which part goes where. Handle, middle and swivel sweeper. The color is gray, green and purple. After getting your unit together you simply take a cleaning pad and drop it on the floor with the words facing up and pop your swivel head right on top of it. The only time you will have to ever touch the dirt pad is when you take it off. Or you can do like my teenage daughter does and use a paper towel so that you don’t get your lazy people hands dirty. Geeze!
And of course 4 double A batteries comes with your unit that you put into the jet sprayer.
You should registered your new lazy person mop called the Swiffer® WetJet™ and guess what? There is a handy card inside to do just that! I suggest hanging onto the box for a couple of weeks in case you have to take it back for replacement. So far though I have not had to do this and I hope I don’t have to.

What It Can Clean
Clean those tough stains on finished hardwood, ceramic, and tile surfaces. Spilled drinks.
Heavy dirt and grime on your floors. Clean up after parties and anytime family. Clean up after large spills and accidents. The area where pets eat and sleep and wipe up mud that's tracked in from the yard, which I always hate getting into my house but seems to always mange to work its way in. And you can clean finished ceramic and tile floors and I like this one, finished tile surfaces around built-in pools and hot tubs. Now that’s a plus that I would not have thought of.
How I Feel
I have to admit and will do so gladly that this lazy people mop is really nice. It is very easy to use and does a pretty good job. It’s not my old have to wring mop but it is a mop that I can deal with. Besides I can’t let my floors stay dirty! Well, I could but the other people in the house may eventually complain.
The WetJet™ is very attractive as well. And like I stated just now very easy to use. You simply just spray the cleaner on the floor with the little push button found at the top of the handle, within reach mind you and mop. For those tougher stains let the cleaner soak for just a couple of minutes and that stain comes up. I have linoleum floors in my kitchen and bathrooms and I see a wonderful shine left behind. No rinsing required either!
I also noticed in my local Wal Mart that Pin Sol™ makes a cleaner for the Swiffer® and since I love that pine smell most I am going to buy this cleaner for my floors. And I know the Pin Sol™ name and have trusted it for over 20 years.
So, in my older like I have not become a lazy people mop user by choice buy forced to do so and I am grateful that this lazy people mop was made. I strongly suggest that those who have bad health break down and buy this mop or a similar brand if you choose because it will make life a little easier. Now if I can just get a deck with a ramp given to me I will be happier!
