t-mobile horror story (Reply to this comment)
by jcnobody
I called t-mobil to up grade my plan and add one extra line! Simple enough, i am a customer of high standing or so they told me again and again and again over the next week. That's right weeks it took and i never got what i wanted or was promised. I talked first for over 3 hours to a rep. who said over and over how wonderful and patient I was. She finally promised me three new phones for my new family plan. And because it had taken soooo long, a free upgrade and no charge to me. Sweet. I hung up and waited for my new phones to arive. I call back. Um nuthing was ordered, I was transfered 6 times, and then told i would have to call back Monday!
I called back on Monday, got transfered 3 times and when that person said they could not help me i would need to be transfered again, Thats when I got mad. I told them it was very important that they transfer me to someone who could complete the transaction, not transfer me again. After reexplaining the situtation..... Guess what, They had transfer me again!
Each time it required me to explain, and give all numbers, phone address, social, ect. Then this person proceeded to tell me he was sorry he could not send me the phones offered. T_mobil was absolutely the worst company i ever had to deal with!

Hold Times ARE RIDICULOUS (Reply to this comment)
by jasonnwest
I have T-Mobile, and it's okay as long as you never call into customer service.
I called in around 11pm PST the other night and I was on hold for like 20 minutes before I finally was dealt with. And after that- the idiot tard inadvertantly disconnected me when she tried to place me on hold. What irony- a communications company has people working for them who can't figure out the phone system.
So I had to call back and sit on hold for, oh, about another twenty goddamn minutes. When I got a live voice on the line, I complained about the 45 minutes I'd spent waiting and holding, she didn't understand, and thought I was insinuating that I shouldn't have to wait. "No, (moron)," I replied, "NOBODY should have to wait this long to get to a live rep, especially when most of America is sleeping at this hour."
Just sad. The other time I called in was a similar mess- why the hell can't they deal with their calls in a timely manner?

Michigan Coverage (Reply to this comment)
by micoverage
Anybody know how the t-mobile coverage is in Michigan including northern lower 1/2 of the State?? The new blackberry is coming out and t-mobile is the only service selling it (at least in the beginning). Thanks.

Fabulous Job! (Reply to this comment)

You don't know how much I appreciate a review like this. The only thing I've personally heard negatively about T-Mobile is about the coverage. I live in Oklahoma, and my friends who have T-Mobile complain about dropping out in the boonies. However, my friend in Medford, Massachusetts has had T-Mobile for two years, and I remember they made him sign up for an extra year when he lost his phone, or else he would have had to spend bookoo bucks for a new phone. I thought that was not cool, but, who's to say they don't all do that? I do know that when he calls me on my land line he drops out when he goes into Winchester. It seems all cell phones have trouble with mountainous areas and valleys. Nobody I know has mentioned the customer service, but I've yet to see any opinion site where somebody actually liked any one service's customer service. I think it's a given that it's all pretty much bad. I'm glad your experiences were good; they must pay them higher where you live!
Your comments here are very encouraging and helpful to me, and I just may get me a Samsung phone and make the plunge into one of the more basic plans, especially now that they finally have unlimited nights like everybody else!

Re: Clearly a schill for T-Mobile (Reply to this comment)

Nope, I work for Sony and am not affiliated with T-Mobile. I receive awesome customer service from T-Mobile everytime I call. Why is it so hard to believe that someone can get good customer care? I have Verizon Wireless as my work phone, but have not called them because I never find a reason to. The only reasons I call T-Mobile is to change plans, check on orders, or just check up on deals that they are offering. One showing of great customer care is their recent special where I got a Nokia 6610 ($199 regular price) for $35 just for being a T-Mobile customer. The Internet seems to be all about complaining and when someone comes out with a compliment, suddenly it seems like the complimenter is all wrong. Well, it's not true. T-Mobile has great customer care and they bend over backwards to help me. I have been with SprintPCS, MetroPCS, Verizon and T-Mobile. I dealt with customer care with SPCS, MPCS, and Tmo. They are all good customer care places, Tmo is just on top of the heap. I am sorry that you didn't get good service, but I did. So stop being such a cynic.

Clearly a schill for T-Mobile (Reply to this comment)

So Mookiekong indicates that he's receiving acceptable customer service. Clearly he's using another service provider or is a T-Mobile employee.

Mobile Phone Service (Reply to this comment)
by chanterlab
Thanx for an informative review. Currently, I am a Sprint customer and am *not* pleased with their customer service -- it is TERRIBLE. I will look into T-Mobile as a provider.
