ToGoPhoto offers you an affordable price for printing your digital photos at a low cost of 18 cents for a glossy color borderless 4 x 6 in print. They will print the true digital size of 4 x 5.3 inches (10 x 14cm) or the Conventional size of 4 x 6 inches (10 x 15cm) for 18 cents a piece, it is your choice on which format you want. The cost of 18 cents each is weather you order 1 photo or 1000 photos plus a flat shipping rate of $1.99 no matter how many or few you order.
You can also scan your old 35mm photos and have them printed too!
Sizes
In the Conventional sizes they offer the 4 x 6 inch for 18 cents, a 5 x 7 inch for 29 cents and an 8 x 10 inch print for $1.99 each.
In the Digital sizes they offer the 4 x 5.3 inch for 18 cents, a 5 x 6.6 inch for 29 cents, a 6 x 8 inch for 79 cents and a 8 x 10.6 inch print for $1.99.
As with all photos there is a flat shipping rate of $1.99 no matter how many or what size they are.
Getting Started
First you need to go to their web page at http://www.togophoto.com/ and then download the software they have for you. You must use the software for ordering plus you can manage and enhance your photos with it.
The next step is to bring your photos into their software program so you can edit them or get them ready to upload to ToGoPhoto.
Once the photos are edited (if you wish to do so!) then it is time to upload the photos. You can upload any resolution size you wish, they do recommend at least a 400 x 600 resolution for a 4 x 6 inch print.
Once the photos are uploaded they will show you a new page on their program at which time you can delete any photos or change the quantity and change the size you wish to have printed.
They will e-mail you that they have received your order and they will e-mail you when it has shipped.
Things to Know
1. It takes about 14 days to get your photos.
2. Uploading time depends on your Internet connection and the size of the photos.
3. If your connection is lost, it will resume from where it was cut off at so you don’t have to upload it all over again.
4. Photos are printed on AGFA Prestige Digital photo paper which is a gloss paper.
5. They only take credit cards.
Overall
The quality you get is excellent! The photos look like they were taken from a professional 35mm film camera.
I wanted a cheaper and faster way of getting my digital photos printed. The 18 cents is a lot cheaper than my local stores at 29 and 39 cents each and a lot cheaper than printing them up on my HP PhotoSmart 1215 Personal Printer. The cost of my photo paper and ink is much higher than the 18 cents a print from ToGoPhoto. As far as faster, well it does take about 14 days to get your prints but I am not wasting several hours printing them up one at a time.
I collected 71 photos together all in the 3 and 4 megabyte range and it took about 5 hours to upload the photos on my slow dialup connection. During that time I lost my Internet connection twice and each time it resumed where it last cut off. If you have high speed Internet then you will upload much faster and if the photos were down in resolution size it will also speedup the upload. After the upload was complete about a minute later I did get an e-mail saying the upload was a success and thanking me for the order. Two days later they e-mailed me and said the prints are done and they are being shipped. They finally arrived after another 7 days making the total time from uploading to my house in about 10 days. My credit card was not charged until the day they shipped the photos.
The quality of the photos are excellent, I had only three disappointments and that was my fault. I cropped three photos on the sides and not the top and bottom to make them even, well when the photos came back, the top of a person’s head was cut off a little bit.
Total cost for 71 photos 4 x 6 inch prints with shipping cost me $14.77, this is an excellent price. I will definitely use their services again and again. Service and quality is great!
If you have a slow Internet connection like me, and plan to only print 4 x 6 inch prints, I recommend taking your photos at a lower resolution so uploading will be faster.
