The Bottom Line I don't care what the final recommendations are; epinions.com is awash in backstabbing, cliquism, and inefficient navigation/subject hunting. I cannot discourage people fast enough from trying this service.
I joined epinions.com in December and have been underwhelmed by this service ever since. I have discovered, rather quickly, the rather cliquish nature of this service. The whole idea here seems to write what is politically correct for the group without really offering substantial, accurate reviews. I was totally unprepared for the ankle-biting and sniping that goes on within the comments, but I soon discovered that this is the norm, not the exception. When I needed to post a review that chronicled being screwed by an internet company, I had hoped to share this information to save other people from getting ripped off. I spent the better part of 15 minutes trying to navigate this horrendous system here without finding the category that would be most appropriate. And, boy, do I know the importance of having the right post in the right category! My first week as a newbie I made one mistake and received endless grief from the cliquish snobs on this service. I had signed up for this service and placed it on my website, but because of the obnoxious behavior of the posters and the absolutely horrible navigation system where it is difficult to find the accurate topic, I yanked my recommendation for this service. I noticed that this service is also having problems with its accounts...a problem that occurred shortly after I joined and I noticed that it has yet to be resolved satisfactorily. I shan't recommend this political correct organization since it doesn't offer anything close to what it proports it does. These aren't accurate evals; they are suckups to gain ratings from other people. |
