Pros: FM Radio, nice little package, good quality, nice sound
Cons: Software, recording from radio not great and battery life not good.
The Bottom Line: I would recommend this product if you can find it for less than $300 or if you want to record FM radio.

| crabtrp's Full Review: Creative Labs Nomad II (64MB) MP3 Player |
I spent a lot of time researching all MP3 players and finally went with the NOMAD II MG. It is a stylish little thing. The LCD display is a little small and the controls a little difficult to get used to.
I initially had a little trouble getting it linked up to my PC. The software is cumbersome and looks a little crappy.
Having said all of this I really enjoy this product. The sound quality is good. The 64mb internal memory is enough for 4 hrs radio recording (one of the main reason I decided on this model) and it takes smartmedia cards to allow up to 128mb. I believe that the new firmware will increase the capacity to 192mb (with a 128mb card) at one time. You can get 64mb cards for less than $80 off the net.
I had a problem with the rechargeable batteries supplied. Alkaline batteries seem to last only a couple of hours. It seems to last longer on (different) NiMH AAA batteries.
I got a real bargain on this product. I got it from Best Buy for $150, the assistant pointed out to me that it's memory had been stolen, I wondered whether to tell him that the supplied memory on the unit is internal but I didn't want to confuse him. I would have trouble in recommending this for over $300.
