Re: Battery & Adapter (Reply to this comment)

Sorry, I forgot to answer you question about indoor photos. I haven't had a problem but I don't use flash often, I try to position the person/thing in natural light from a window or room light. If I do absolutely have to use the flash I stand as far back from the person as possible and use the zoom--it evens out the flash. The only blurry photos I get are my shaking hands--that I can't help. I do hold my breath when I take the photo and most often use the viewfinder so I have 3 pieces of me making contact with the camera--a human tri-pod.
Again, welcome. I would have e-mailed you but yo don't have an e-mail address in your profile. I hope you get these comments. If you'd like to contact me my e-mail address is epinions2003@yahoo.com.
I hope you'll write an epinion soon--if you do, please e-mail me, I'd love to read it!
Thanks!

Re: Battery & Adapter (Reply to this comment)

Hello! Thanks for asking--because of your questions I found out that the vendor I purchased the camera from told me the AC adaptor came with it when in fact they charged me $19.95 for it! It's beyond their return period but I am going to contact them to let them know I'm not happy. They only sent a packing slip and I never checked beyond that until you mentioned it--there in my e-mail was the information, I only looked at the bottom line. I've learned my lesson--always read the e-mail all the way through! I apologize for the error in my review and will correct it. At the same time I correct the battery life--thanks for catching that as well!
As for the software issue, yes, you can connect it with a USB and Windows will see it as an additional drive if you have Plug & Play capabilities. I didn't mention it as most people are like my son--if they send you a disk, he assumes you need it. I appreciate you mentioning it and will add the info as well.
I apologize for the errors I made in haste and THANK YOU for helping me out. I'd feel awful if someone made a decision on my bad information. I see youre new and I welcome you! You have a great eye for detail and you'll be an asset to Epinions!
WELCOME!

Battery & Adapter (Reply to this comment)
by drm_tbc
Thanks for a great review. I have the 300 version of this camera. I think they are the same with the exception of the resolution, as you've mentioned. Did you receive the AC adapter as part of your basic kit? In Canada, the adapter is sold separately. Also, you commented that it takes 12 hours to charge the battery. I understood (and have experienced) that the battery charges fully in approx. 2 hours (maybe the 12 was a typo?)
I have read in other reviews of this camera that indoor shots are blurry. After 300 pics on mine, I have not experienced this problem. Also, I did not need to install any software to copy the photos to my computer. I just plugged in the provided USB cable to the camera and my laptop -- Windows XP immediately recognized the camera as a new drive and allows me to copy files using Windows Explorer.

Thanks for the sweet comment! Seems that digital cameras are becoming like computers--old within a few minutes of their release. I have 5 digital cameras--the first was a KB Gear piece of junk...the next one I got from Reflect.com for buying $150 in make-up. I can't remember the brand but it was junk too. After that came the Sony FD95 which is still my favorite. Add this one and the digicam and my house is full of them.
Too many toys, not enough money.

I've already got two digital cameras, you're review is good enough to make me want to get another (in the small point and shoot world versus more pro models).
