Always like a backup plan, just incase. K7S5A allows regular sdram incase DDR was to fuss about as with many other board with the DDR MEM..They've taken the one chipset(for north and South and kicked some serious butt. Runs 110 degrees socket cool.If BIOS upgrades bother you you might look else where,for without it, the board has just to many quirks to appreciate. Overclocking possible only with a third party Bios upgrade and that with the FSB only.It's been more like buying a really nice hot car in need of a serious tuneup. But once tuned.....woof!
