Pros: More features than anything in it's size (or price range).
Cons: Battery life was short, but probably typical of most digital media players.
The Bottom Line: It's slick and tiny. I've been pleasantly surprised as to how darn good a player this really is. I'd buy more MPIO products in the future.

I have had my MPIO FL100 for 2wks now and use it every day listening to the radio when I commute and MP3s while excercising. There are similar ones on the market like the IRiver IFP-380T, but that not expandable. Others don't have FM tuner/recorder or voice recording. This voice record works very well and has high and low quality settings. On high quality you can record well over an hour and quality of the recording is excellent. The FM tuner is excellent, unlike many small tuners that have such poor reception they're a struggle to work with. All in all I'm pleased and am very happy. It was worth the time searching for this gem.
Other features not mentioned in other reviews include: A-B repeat by pressing the record button while playing an MP3. Logo editing for personalizing the graphic that comes up when it boots. Cool easy to use software. Friendly support staff that helped me play my WMA files (you need to load WMA through Windows Media Player, after installing the plugin.) Manual OR AutoSeek for FM stations. Editing of names & locations of FM stations with MPIO management software. If you want to seek up and down within 3 to hit your 3 favorite stations and label them with your names, no problem.
Disappointments: I was surprised how fast it runs through batteries, but it was probably longer than the advertised time. I'll definitely invest in rechargeables soon. I wish the arm band was bigger for larger arms.(It's kinda tight on me and my arms aren't huge). The headphones are excellent for around the house and office. But for running I needed to you my older around-the-ear-snug-fit headphones.
