| Susie-34668's Full Review: Comfort Inns and Suites |
32 people who know each other via the internet decided to get together at Niagara Falls, Canada, last year.
Now we asked our travel agent for the Quality Inn, at Clifton Hill, Niagara. She booked it for us and we flew from Tampa, Fl to Buffalo, NY. That flight was a nightmare but I will write about it at a later date.
We should have arrived late morning but ended up 1.30am the following morning. The driver pulled up and we were so exhausted, barely dragged ourselves to reception and our room.
There was a passage way with all the doors leading off of it. We literally decided to go straight to bed. That was the first mistake. It was May and fully booked. People were coming back to their rooms the entire night. We could hear them walking, talking and all the doors slammed shut.
We had arranged to meet our friends for breakfast. We checked and no one in sight. Asked at the desk and they informed us that no other English had booked. We were shocked. Then they informed us that we were in the Comfort Inn Fallsway and their sister hotel, the Quality Inn Fallsway was nextdoor. Sure enough everyone else was staying in that hotel.
We were tired all day, but managed to have fun with our friends. Our second and last night, being the Saturday, was even worse. We heard shouting all night long. It would have made no difference if we had been in another part of the hotel because each corridor was just the same.
We had planned to stay until late afternoon on the Sunday, having an evening flight. Instead we went to the airport so we could sleep while waiting for the flight.
I will say that the continental buffet breakfast in the mornings was good. There was not enough seating, so we took coffee, juice and muffins to our room to eat.
There was no entertainment in the Comfort Inn Fallsway, however, the sister hotel did have a bar that was fairly lively.
This is a perfect spot to stay. Clifton Hill has lots to do. Plenty of shops, and the Casino is just around the corner. At the bottom of the hill, turn right and the spectacular falls are breathtaking.
Our weekend it rained all the time. We have been fortunate to visit before, in July, and had wonderful weather. Got to see that beautiful rainbow, in the falls.
The staff were helpful and courteous. Did the best they could with an average hotel.
The room was okay. Nothing fancy.
There was an indoor pool and whirlpool. Unfortunately with our delays we were unable to check these out.
