Gee Whiz! I had to scan this whole section just to find a decent review to read. People are spitting them out like wild fire and I'm reading a lot of nothings.
Now to your review.....How right you are about making the wrong decision and lowering self-esteem!
My daughter went to two different schools and a community college inbetween. After spending a year at U-MAss Amherst where she encountered many difficulties she then enrolled in a community college for the the second year.
then AZ State accepted her for the 3rd and would not acknowledge her credits from U-Mass but did from the community college. which I didn't understand and still don't.
It took the poor girl a year to build up her lost credits and lost self-esteem. She finally left Az State, married her student math teacher and he enrolled her into a private college where she is doing quite well.

College is such a serious decision and so many counselors and older people try to rush a student into a decision.
You brought up some excellent points!
