Since I am not a technie - I really hadn't found a reason to visit Buy.com. Then, after purchasing a digital camera, I found myself to be in need of a memory card. I knew little about memory cards, so I tried a few electronics sites. I was impressed ...

Buy.com is really slipping, even Wikipedia shows their Better Business Bureau ratting is a triple B and the number of complaints have risen dramatically in 2007.

Wish I had known before shopping for Christmas gifts last year. I purchased a bluetooth headset in December for a gift. Unfortunately, my wife purchased her own set before the holidays and Buy.com would not let me return it.

Unlike most retailers, Buy.com has a draconian return policy of just 14 days from shipment to return items. There is no way to order a gift from Buy.com in time for the recipient to return the item if it is wrong or broken.

At the very least, NEVER order anything you will give as a gift from Buy.com. I'll not likely use them ever again.

Buy.com may have set a land speed record once for order fulfillment but wait till they tell you the in stock item you ordered is now out of stock. Buy.com will not cancel your order even though they will admit to not having it in any warehouse. They will tell you they'll request a cancel but won't actually cancel for up to 72 hours - preventing you from ordering from a more reputable merchant. Search for other reviews on buy.com and read the reviews. Also check out Consumeraffairs.com and search on buy.com. The fact that there is no customer service number on Buy.com's web site should tell you something - STAY AWAY!

I ordered a simple product and was eventually told it was on back-order. Months later I saw a high profile Buy.Com ad for the same item, so I ordered another one for @ about $10 more, and low and behold it was shipped immediately !!

Discussions with their customer support area were
useless...they essentially didn't answer my questions and BLEW ME OFF.

This is definitely NOT a customer oriented company... thus you'd be better off paying a few $'s more than dealing with them.

I ordered a Lexar Memory Stick Pro from these clowns a WEEK ago and the status sheet STILL READS "In Warehouse" a week later. They were very quick to charge my account for this $155 item, but haven't bothered to ship it a week later. I'm not very happy with them. If you like low prices but don't care whether or not you actually get the product, they're a great choice! However, if you want what you pay for, then this doesn't seem to be the place to shop. They also are TERRIBLE about returning e-mails to inquire on status.... Save the heartburn, spend an extra buck somewhere else and be a satisfied customer!!

BUYERS BEWARE of SELLER BUY.COM.

I recently purchase a few item from BUY.COM for my computing needs. They where offering the best prices for what I was looking for online. First order, no problem, second, no problem. Third order is where it started. I got double charge on shipping even after I order the 2 items on one order. Not resolved as there reason is,they paid for 2 shipping to shipped the 2 items.

Forth order. Bundled order for the D-LINK wireless extreme bundle with rebate. Got the package shipped to my father in laws house. He opened the shipping box and there was only one item in. Father in law opened the box looking for the cardbus and not there. Only the Router is there.
Email customer support about 6 or 7 times(each email responses, I have to re-explain every detail all over again) before I got a phone no to customer support about the missing card bus. Only resolution BUY.COM has is to return the item that was ship and they will send a new order.

Problem with this is that the box was trashed. So our claim was refuse because BUY.COM policy. They do not accept opened or missing box for refund or replacement.

We still have not recieve the missing item that we paid for. We are about to take legal steps to get this issue resolved.

So BUYERS BEWARE. Do not TRUST your BUSINESS WILL BUY.COM

"I didn't get the shipment e-mail, but I did get the item". Yeah... something about the under-24-hours delivery time makes it nice and easy to look on the bright side. Excellent review.

Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. I think we should be done with pets - it is my distaste for pets that got us into this anyway. Should we move on to . . . plants?
