| daktuh's Full Review: Visioneer OneTouch 9000 USB Flatbed Scanner |
I bought this scanner because my previous Visioneer 8820 died an early death (software problems), and I was hoping to minimize future software conflicts by staying within the Visioneer "family". I love nothing about this product....it's going back.
Buggy, you ask?? Be advised to stock up on plenty of deep woods formula. This new scanner needs to be painstakingly reconfigured every time I reboot (WinXP Home). For some reason, the Visioneer folder window comes up with every reboot - one of several annoyances. It doesn't work with USB2 (contrary to its glorious claims). Image quality appears to be mediocre to poor whenever I can manage a successful scan.
Customer service??...Don't bother calling if you are near 50 years of age. You might be dead by the time someone actually helps you.
