Since times were a little rough financially a while back and now getting better, I have learned a few lessons. One lesson is about cereal and those huge bags that you see in the supermarket. When you get home, you need something to put that cereal in. If you don’t, then you have this humungous bag of cereal that you have to lop around every time you reach for the cereal. For a little person like me, it gets to be tedious after a while.
So when I went to my least favorite place Kmart a while back I looked for something else to put the cereal into. What I came upon was Martha Stewart Everyday Airtight Plastic Canisters.
The Martha Stewart Everyday Airtight Plastic Canisters are perfect for the job. They allow dry food to stay dry without going stale. I still feel my cereal is fresh every time I open up the canister to get some.
The Martha Stewart Everyday Airtight Plastic Canisters come in the following sizes with the prices as shown:
.6 quart = $5.49
1 quart = $7.49
2.3 quarts = $8.49
3.3 quarts = $10.49
4.2 quarts = $11.49
There are five sizes and the canisters only come in clear plastic, no fancy colors. I like the clear plastic so that I can see what is inside. The plastic is very sturdy yet light to handle as well. The Martha Stewart Everyday Airtight Plastic Canisters are round for the base part with an interesting cover.
The way the Martha Stewart Everyday Airtight Plastic Canisters work is they have a plastic top that has a handle in the middle that is white with two squeezable handles on each side. You squeeze the handles when shutting and opening the Martha Stewart Everyday Airtight Plastic Canisters, so that your food is Airtight and Fresh. It is that simple. Nothing complex and it works like a charm.
My favorite part is that you can stack the same sizes on top of each other. So if you need more room in your refrigerator, you can stack up a couple of the 1 quart canisters and voila, more room. The only place that the Martha Stewart Everyday Airtight Plastic Canisters do not work is the freezer. Besides that the food cabinet and refrigerator work fine. The plastic also does not stain at all from items like spaghetti sauce.
There is a five year warranty on the Martha Stewart Everyday Airtight Plastic Canisters should something be defective with the craftsmanship. I doubt that many people use it however, because from this item and the many others I have bought in the Martha Stewart Everyday Collection, I have yet to have a single problem. I use many of her items in my kitchen and also to garden nearly everyday.
Some may believe that the price is a little bit high for such an item. I think that the price is fair for what you are receiving in return. The Martha Stewart Everyday Plastic Airtight Canisters are of great quality and are matched with a wonderful warranty. I have fallen in love with my canisters. I use them all the time. I no longer have to lug out the big bag of cereal from the top shelf to have just a little for breakfast. I just open up my Martha Stewart Everyday Plastic Airtight Canisters and pour. I love it!
