After 3 months I am more "in love" with it every day. Great styling, quality, value.

I would be very surprised if the car leaked. Now that the Cadillac XLR is made in the same plant I would expect quality to improve. GM has been putting much effort into the quality of Cadillac models. The CTS was second only to the large Lexus in the most recent J.D. Power initial quality study, which covers the first three months of ownership.

As for the price, a hatchback like I drove lists for 47,000, so not quite as high as you state. Still a lot of money, but with this car you're paying for performance, not workmanship. The interior is that of a $30,000 car, and plastic panels simply cannot be manufactured as precisely as steel ones. If you're going to get very hung up on workmanship, best buy a Porsche.

I rated your review Very Helpful, but I feel cheated. It is difficult to tell a corvettes flaws on a test drive. Does it take in any rain in the weatherstripping? Do the doors close tightly? Did the seats function properly? If I was going to buy a new corvette, I'd want to know if the owner was still in love with the car after a month or more. Sorry for my comment, but a 2004 costs between 50 - 60 grand!
