RESEARCH!!!

The Bottom Line RESEARCH EVERYTHING! You wouldn't buy something without trying it on first would you? Do the same with college. Research will help you find the college for you!

When it comes that time when all applications are due and appointments are being scheduled, a person can't help but get stressed! What do I do? Where do I go? How will I pay for this? What classes do I take? Is this the right college for me???? All these questions run through your mind! And, although they may be a little hard to find, the answers are out there, and it doesn't always seem to be near as hard as you've imagined.

For me...I was clueless! I barely knew what I wanted to be, let alone what classes to take! I had visited the campus only twice and wasn't even familiar with where everything was at! I can say I was majorly stressed!! But, everything is fine now, and I am in my second semester. I now know where just about everything is and all my questions have been answered! When it comes to choosing the right college for you or your child remember to consider everything about that college. Find out first what classes are offered and how much it will cost to go to this school. You don't necessarily have to know right away what you want to be, being that you can take just those classes like English and History of which most, if not all, fields of study require. Next, talk to an advisor. They will be willing to give you advice on what is offered at the school and what is recommended. Don't forget to fill out all the financial information(like the FAFSA), and scholarship applications. Also, research different organizations that may help in the cost of college(like Vocational Rehabilitation, if you have a disability). You will be surprised how much money you can get from different organizations and such!

Oh,AND when you find the right college for you do a little research on the teachers too!! Sometimes It can make quite a difference!
