The Bottom Line: I Recommend this phone to EVERYONE! Great price, great phone. Definently look into it

Hi all, this is my first review on Epinions so bare with me. I’ve read a lot of reviews on here, and I’ve always run into some that I just hate. Either because they were to short or too long, leaving me falling asleep or finishing the review before I blinked. There have also been reviews that focus on meaningless aspects of a product, or aspects that you can already conclude from looking at it.

I may be a hypocrite after I write this review, but I will learn as I go. I’ve rarely seen reviews where they say everything I wanted to know, but when I do I’m really happy. I feel content and feel that I have a great aspect on the product I was interested in. Well now you're falling asleep so WAKE UP! Here is the review.

Price: I bought my Ericsson T28w at a local PacBell store, which is now Cingular wireless. Cingular will take off $150 off the retail value of the phone if you sign up for a new activation. Additionally if you have been a customer for 2 years, they will extend you the same courtesy of taking off $150 without the need to sign up for new service. I bought the phone for $99. The phone’s retail is $250 - $150, we get to the $99 dollar price tag. I find this phone to be a fantastic deal, as you will see in the explanation below.

Looks and Durability: Ericsson built and designed this phone with a lot of care. First of all when you pick up this phone, aside from being light (very light) it feels sturdy. I’ve dropped mine plenty of times and it stood by my side. The cover of the display in imploded in. It is below the surface of the phone, which allows the phone to lay face down without having any of the screen touch the surface. This really helps with scratches, because Nokia’s have the screen that bulges out begging to get scratched. The sim cardholder is also designed well. It is made out of metal and is differently in it for the long haul. Yet again I compare this to a Nokia, which has a flimsy plastic sim cardholder that with one wrong move can get snapped off. This shows how Ericsson pays attention to the little details that can make a world of difference. One thing I’d like to add is that I have heard complaints about the antenna. Because it is so big people tend to think it is prone to snap off very easily. I shove this phone into my pocket and go off to school giving it a beating, and it is still solid as the first day I bought it.

Menu System: I love the menu system on the phone. It is very easy to learn and has numbers by each sub menu to expedite your maneuvering through it. The screen is very readable and is also quite high definition. The phone also includes a calculator and has two games: Tetris and Solitaire.

Clarity and Battery Life: I love to get my friends when I’m on the phone. I can call from anywhere in the city and they think I’m at home on a corded phone. The only that would tip them off is cars going by. Otherwise they are always amazed when I say that I’m walking here or there and not at home. The battery life is also amazing for the size of the battery. Take a gram cracker and snap it in half. That is the size of the battery. Yet out of the small Lithium Polymer battery you can get 2.5 hours of talk time and 75 hours of standby.
