About Me: I am new to epinions so I am still learning the ropes.

Not as impressed as the others

Pros:The food was pretty good - even if it took forever to place an order.
Cons:The hotel isn't clean, the amenities in the room are awful & service is lacking.
The Bottom Line: I would not recommend this hotel unless you are use to accomodations that should really be considered closer to 2-star than 3-star.

I must admit that I did not have the same experience as the other reviewers. You can click on theirs to read some various details, but let me tell you how my experience differed. I paid $99.00 a night for my room and it was stated to be a 3-star hotel.

I checked into the hotel and made my way to my room. Yes, this is a historic hotel and the lobby is nice, if not very small. My room was a different story. The blanket on the bed had numerous stains on it.

I ordered room service and the first 4 items I tried to order they told me they no longer had. They finally realized that my menu must be old and obsolete. I offered to come down and pick up a new one, but they said they would bring it to me. (They showed up an hour and 15 minutes later.) The food - a chicken caesar salad was good. The calamari was excellent. They do not even provide ice water with your order, which is normally automatic at hotels.

The iron that was in the closet had dark stains on it so I chose to wear somewhat wrinkled clothes rather than risk ruining mine.

The only 2 things that I liked about this hotel was that although the bathroom was small, it had beautiful marble floors and counters and of course - I loved the calamari.

Vending machines are located on every other floor as well as an ice machine. I had to go to 5 floors before I could find an ice machine that worked.

The room is very small. I requested a queen size bed and got a double bed. The TV was old and some of the stations were so unclear that it hurt to try and watch it.

I checked out a night early and checked in next door at the Renaissance hotel.

I could give numerous other details about this hotel, but suffice it to say, I highly recommend that you do not stay here.
