I have used service from US Cellular for the past three years. I have had 5 phones with them and used three different plans over time. I have also had service from other national providers. US Cellular has been the best of those I've used. They are very user friendly and have a wide assortment of plans. My only complaint would be that they have some very good plans that are not commonly discussed with the customer. If you talk to them long enough and ask enough questions you may stumble over one or two of them but the information won't be volunteered. I've found that simply asking the question "What's the very best deal you all have for a person who needs (fill in the blanks) out of their service." You might be pleased by the answer you get.
