Pros: None
Cons: Doesnt clean the dirty items, and ruins fabric by tearing the fabric.
The Bottom Line: I would not buy this unit due to the poor design of the wash "plate" I would stay with the traditional aggitator style units or mabe even a front loader.

| jaymz2003's Full Review: Whirlpool Calypso GVW9959K Top Load Washer |
I bought this unit based on previous experience with whirlpool and sears, I wont make that mistake again.
The calypso dryer is a great unit. I cannot how ever say the same about the washer. My wife and I purchased it from sears.
We thought we liked the way it worked for the first 10 months or there about (In hind site I think we tricked our selves into beliveing that it was working due to the high purchase price)
This unit leaves soapy residue on all of the clothes. It only puts a minumum amount of water in. It twists the clothing into knots and tears the fabric. It can ruin a new shirt in a matter of three cycles. The clothes also come out dirty where they were twisted together, especially with denim.
I called sears and they wanted nothing to do with us since it had been over one year. So much for "satisfation garuanteed or your money back". I called whirlpool and not only did they deny there was a problem with these units they said I was in user error. Either by puting to many items in the unit or by chosing the wrong cycle. They recomend chosing the light duty cycles for everything.
Why did I pay 1200 dollars for a unit that I cant even use all of the features of ?
