Pros: Protects from hackers and blocks ads and popups
Cons: None I can think of
The Bottom Line: This is a must have for people with computers that are constantly networked and also excellent for people on dial-ups b/c the ad blocking speeds up the internet.

I used to have tiny personal firewall on my computer and it worked great - but now they have commercialized it and at work they gave me the Norton internet security instead. Although not as invisible as the tiny firewall the norton one does the job and it even has a basic HTML filter so now I don't have to run my HTML filter to block pop ups and block ads.
Another good thing about this firewall is that it is self updating so there is no need to go look for updates when ever you think that someone comes out with a new way to get around your firewall. I guess that it comes with a virus checker as well but I am not using that one but a different one from Norton.
At work I have a static IP address and to allow the IT people to update everything I am forced to leave my computer on at night leaving it very vulnerable to hackers. Usually when I get in in the morning the firewall is flasing saying that 2-3 people have tried to send me some trojan horses and other kinda hacks. Then you can click on the IP addresses and see where in the world the people that tried to hack you came from - it is just for interest since there is not really anything you can do about it unless you want to write emails to the ISPs.
I am sure that my computer would be bogged down with viruses and trojan horses and other stuff if I had not had Norton on my computer. Norton is a well trusted company that makes solid software. With the added bonus of ad and pop up blocker this software makes the internet a faster and cleaner place to visit.
