Pros: Quality (Photo and text perfect). Cheap under $150. Easy to use. Separate Ink tanks (5).
Cons: None, doesn't have junk I dont want and everything I do.
The Bottom Line: Perfect everyday printer, excellent photo printer.

Excellent Printer!!! I just bought a Cannon i860 photo printer after reading many reviews on the i850. I had decided to buy an i850 until I learned that Cannon was coming out with the i860, so I waited. It was worth the wait. The printer is excellent and here are a few of the reasons I bought this one.
1. Quality of the Prints be that Photos or plain text. The printer comes with a few (5) free photo quality 4x6's to play with and show off just how good the printer can print. It will make you go out and get more paper believe me. The printer prints 4x6 up to 8x11 borderless photos. The i860 also has a feature that holds 20 4x6's in a separate holder so you can always have two types of paper loaded - in a word easy.
2. Ink, first off Cannon actually gives you full size ink cartridges. This alone saves you some money in that they won't run out a week after you have the printer. It also has 5 separate tanks which saves money. Also aftermarket dealers sell compatible ink tanks saving even more money.
3. USB 2.0 and backward compatible. If you print a large number of photos the data transfers much faster. But if you must use your old 1.0 or Parallel you can but spend the 10 dollars for a USB 2.0 cable.
4. Speed very fast as compared to my old printer.
5. Quiet normal mode is quiet and then there is a quiet mode which is slightly slower but still the same quality. and the software lets you default it to quiet mode all the time or at night (any hour of your choosing). But like I said its quiet in normal mode.
6. Lastly its Cannon. A major player in digital photography.
