Perfect for pre-teens when they have outgrown Disney but their parents aren’t completely comfortable with allowing PG or PG-13 yet.

But somehow, I would've fit The Music Man in there somewhere! (I don't know which of your ten I'd drop, though...tough choice!)

I prefer The Music Man, The King and I, Les Miz, the Wizard of Oz and Moulin Rouge besides My Fair Lady and Grease, but the others aren't bad. :-)

But where's Les Miserables? You might also want to check out Into the Woods (it's my favorite musical) and some more by Andrew Lloyd Webber like Jesus Christ Superstar or Evita. I also love Gershwin, and Crazy for You is the bomb. Finally, the best musical to see on stage is definitely The Will Rogers Follies. If you like Cats because of the dancing and choreography, then find a showing of WRF and you won't be disappointed. :)

You weren't the only sister Andy made an impression on. Thank God for high school musicals! I can't believe you barely mentioned Les Mis, my all time favorite. I love those songs. Great topic.

The other sister.

Some excellent choices (Reply to this comment)

I must admit that I am not fond of all of them though - the movie version of Camelot sounds just awful when you grow up listening to the Richard Harris, Robert Goulet, and Julie Andrews recording.

When I was 5 years old, I sang "You are 16 Going on 17" by myself in front of the entire elementary school assembly. But you see, at age 5, I thought I was as good as Julie Andrews ;-)

Yes that was Andy. He really impressed me when I was Stef's age.
As for Stef and Rhi's "production", they also did one for the Dixie Chicks "Goodby Earl" that had us crying we were laughing so hard. Wait til you see!

If you feel so strongly about The King and I, why don't you write your own, Mom?
Thanks for the comment. Your opinion is very important to me.

This is where I go to get your birthday list. Books, movies and where was that other comment "Mom, get me this"?

Dad said thanks for the mention and the refinancing of the house was worth it. You are an excellent writer. I agree.

Was that Andy Grosse you mentioned in your review?

Can't wait to see the duet Stef is directing.

Lastly, no King and I? Where did I go wrong with you?

Once again, I am beaming with pride over a wonderful review.
