You don't have to let spam ruin your e-mail experience if you take a few steps to avoid it in the first place and if you deal with it properly.

That I use. When you have to give you email address, give your spouses. they'll never know what hit them! (only kidding, hon!)

I made a program that sends the spammer a loooooooooooooooog email virtually shutting down or slowing up their email. I received one very angry email form some yahoo that was filled with every vulgar word in the book. Ah, sweet revenge!

Make sure this email contains a very LARGE file such as a jpeg at the highest resolution. I guarantee you it will lock their computer for at least an hour! Their only recourse is to either sut down their computer or reboot! Works for me!

Excellent advice!

Thank you for your useful write-up. I use spam filters and have extra email addresses for potentially spammy websites. Some people that I know keep sending me various chain letters but that's were they "usually" stop..right in my spam folder. If only they realize what the consequences are when chain letters get forwarded. Then, they will be the wiser and quit doing it. This piece is worthy for printing!

which has been very helpful to someone like me who is new to computers. The spam doesn't bother me but pornography is. It is an intrusion into my home and really really annoying. Good op. Ann
