For the past year, my toddler has been going through an "artistic phase". She "decorates" her surroundings whenever the possibility occurs to her. Her room and some of the hallways were a disaster.
"There goes the security deposit,' said my husband. We rent a 2 bedroom townehouse where they wont tell us what kind of paint they use, and they expect us to leave a one gallon container and a check for $40.00 with our house number on it at the rental office, and the gallon of paint will be delivered to or doorstep within 2-3 days. Uggghhh!
Well, we decided to hold off painting over our walls until our little girl was through with her "artistic phase." $40 for a gallon of paint is steep.
Well, I saw the commercial for the magic eraser yesterday, and I was at my local Target within a couple of hours.
I was excited to use it when I got home.
It worked!
It got crayon, washable and dry erase marker, pencil, and pen right off the walls, door, and closet doors with very little elbow grease. It also took the dirty hand marks of with a quick swipe.
She had colored on her dollhouse and the wood trim on her furniture with a permanant marker which I tried to get out with every cleaning product in the house, from windex to palmolive to ajax to rubbing alcohol, I just gently wiped this magic sponge across each surfave and the PERMANANT marker DISAPPEARED!
"That's cool, Mommy," said my daughter.
... and it was.
