I've made several purchases from Pictureframes.com in the past year, and they have always shipped my orders quickly.
For my most recent order for 6 framing kits, I used a great new feature on their website. First you upload a digital image of the items you want to frame. Then you specify the actual image size. Next you select a frame (they have a huge selection, but it is well organized into categories), and any matting that you want as well as regular or non-glare acrylic and corrugated or foam core backing. They do not sell or ship glass, so if you want glass for your frame you would need to go to your local hardware store and buy a piece of single strength window glass that is the same size as your mats (or frame).
You can either choose a ready made frame (fixed sizes) which limits your control over mat border width, but is less expensive than a custom sized frame which give you total control over mat border width.
The whole process is continuously interactive, so when you change the mat border width, the frame size automatically changes. And the result is displayed on the screen and the complete framed image can be opened in a separate full screen window.
I found the color accuracy of the images to be very good.
This feature enabled me to try out lots of different frames and mat combinations until I found exactly what I wanted.
My order shipped a few days after I placed it, and the automated tracking information was accurate.
Two items were missing from my order when it arrived. I called the 1-800 customer service number, told them which items were missing, and they immediately rush shipped the missing items by next day air, so I got the rest of my order in about 2 days.
The quality of the frames is good. The mats were very accurately cut. Two of the larger frames came unassembled, and, although there was some note on the site that some frames ship unassembled, It was not clear to me that these two frames would arrive unassembled. They supply you glue and corner clips or screws (depending on the frame material) for frame assembly. I found that I needed to use a ribbon clamp in order to hold the frame parts in place while the glue set.
Overall I am very satisfied my purchase.
