I've used Snapfish for over 3 years. Once tried and tested, I was amazed by not only the quality of their service, but the results of money well spent.
What Do You Get?
I usually have double prints ordered with negatives returned to me. I use 35 mm film and APS film. Snapfish develops both.
With my 35 mm film, I pay $2.99 for the first set and an additional $1.99 for the double. Shipping & Handling is $1.99.
With my APS film, I pay $6.99 for the first set and an additional $2.99 for the double. Shipping & Handling is $1.99.
These prices are for a roll of film up to 27 exposures.
A great thing about Snapfish is that you can prepay. For anyone who is constantly taking photos and obviously needing them developed, this is a great idea. I am an avid scrapbooker and my cameras go where I go. I don't leave home without them! So when I get home, it's a snap to slip them into the mailer envelopes that Snapfish sends out (and which I keep a handy supply on-hand at all times!) and rush them off to be developed. Since I prepay, there's no need to send off a check or get online and input my credit card information. It's just deducted from the amount I've prepaid on my account for just this purpose. I don't have to take note of it with my credit card because I already did that when I prepaid. To keep up-to-date on how much I still have on my balance, I simply check my account every couple of weeks so I'll know when it's time to prepay again. It's great because I can save up to 33% by prepaying!
I also have a Sony CD Mavica Digital Still Camera (MVC-CD250). Snapfish produces beautiful photos from my shots. I upload them and anxiously await their arrival. I am never disappointed by the exceptional quality of their work and the customer service.
The Extras
Extra Prints, Enlargements, Photo CD, High Resolution Photos (For Download), Photo Gifts (mugs, calendars, shirts, plates, coasters, clocks, puzzles and many more!), Flip Books, Memory Books, Photo Notebooks, 4x8" Photo Cards, Photo Greeting Cards.
Online storage of photos based on active membership. This is great! Your photos are never deleted as long as your account stays active. At first I didn't realize this and I had developed 12 rolls of film and organized them in photo albums and all that jazz. One day I got online to check the status of my order I had sent out a couple of days earlier and all of my albums were gone. After contacting customer service, I found out that I had sent my film in to be developed a year after my last order (unusual for me!) and that my account was deemed inactive and poof, no more online storage. Since this was a one-time incident (I had no plans of repeating it lol), I was not too concerned, but instead considered myself duly forwarned for future reference. Now my albums are intact and secure since that time and I enjoy the benefit of browsing through them at my convenience, sharing with family and friends and ordering prints whenever I want (while continuing to develop new photos on a regular basis). Snapfish offers free, unlimited storage of your online photos, whether they come from film you develop with them or from digital photos that you upload to your account. There is no limit to the number of rolls you can send in nor is there a limit to the number of digital photos you can upload. You can have an unlimited number of albums and photos in your account.
What Forms of Payment does Snapfish Accept?
For all orders, Snapfish accepts VISA, Mastercard and American Express credit cards. For film developing orders, you can also pay with a check or money order. However, they only accept credit cards for orders placed online through their website (prints, photo gifts, photo CDs, cards etc.)
Why Should You Try It?
You should try it because you'll get customer satisfaction at every turn. You'll have photos that will last a lifetime but won't cost an arm and a leg. You'll also enjoy all the little extras that Snapfish has to offer. I know I do!
