DVD or VCR!!

Mar 25 '01

The Bottom Line DVD is technically much advanced than traditional VCR

Entertainment is very essential in life. It is entertainment only that keeps us lively and energetic to perform our duties properly in life. One of the most important entertainment equipment that people really want to possess is the home movie player.

VCR, popularly known as video cassette recorder, is the oldest home movie player. The merit of VCR is that we can record our happy occasions, like birthday parties....and watch them at our leisure time along with our family members.

But VCR has some demerits also, the picture and sound quality of VCR is not of very high quality. We have to be very careful while storing our video cassettes so that no scratch mark occurs on the tape. Scratch mark can spoil your tape. VCR is very heavy equipment and therefore it is not convinient to move the equipment frequently.

DVD is the latest home movie player that has entered the market in the recent time. Although the introduction price of the equipment was quite high, now the price factor of DVD has slashed considerably. The merit of DVD is it's sound and picture quality. Due to the high quality output, people are going for DVD rather than VCR.

It is totally upto the individual weather he/she want to buy a DVD or a traditional VCR. As far as my preference goes, I would advice our members to buy the DVD as it is technically much advance than the traditional VCR.
