| LisaDo's Full Review: Tupperware 6-Piece Classic Sheer Midgets Set |
Several years ago I had purchased a set of Tupperware 6-Piece Classic Sheer Midgets Set, but somewhere alone the many moves they were misplaced. When a friend of mine became a Tupperware rep (waves to MT!), I knew I had to order another set.
When my order came, my husband had his nose in the box. He wanted to know what I had ordered. When I pulled out the plastic baggie holding the Tupperware 6-Piece Classic Sheer Midgets Set, he looked at me with disbelief and asked what I could possibly use them for. They were to small to be useful. Ah, men. He doesn't stop and think about the little things.
Because we live so far from the base where my husband is stationed, it isn't convenient for him to come home for lunch. We also don't have the money for him to eat out every day. Usually, I pack him a lunch. Sometimes leftovers, sometimes a sandwich. Either way, the Tupperware 6-Piece Classic Sheer Midgets Set are there to save the day!
When I make my husband sandwiches, he likes them with Miracle Whip. Unfortunately, the bread often gets soggy if I put it on when the sandwiches are made because it is a few hours before they are eaten. Instead I put the Miracle Whip in a Tupperware Midget and include a butter knife and he can spread it on when it is time to eat!
Sometimes I send leftovers, such as spaghetti or BBQ chicken. I can use a Tupperware Midget for the BBQ sauce he never seems to have enough of. For the spaghetti, I place the Kraft Parmesan Cheese so he can add it when he is ready to eat. They also work great for salt, pepper or any other condiment!
The Tupperware 6-Piece Classic Sheer Midgets Set are not only for kitchen use. Anything small would be safe in these containers. My husband has used them for small nails and screws. I have used them to take a needle and small amounts of thread (just in case) on vacation. The last thing I want to do is jab myself with a needle while digging in a suitcase!
The name, Midget, is a little misleading. While they are small, they hold up to 2 oz. The slightly over 2" high and 1 3/4" wide (at it's widest point) Midget has three markings on it's clear sides. 1 oz (30 ml), 1 1/2 (45 ml) oz and 2 oz (60 ml). The just under 2" blue lid seals on tightly to prevent any spills. It's almost to tight. The first time my husband tried to get the lid on he got mad because it wouldn't go on. He didn't appreciate my grin when I handed it back to him, lid snuggly in place.
I have no complaints about the Tupperware 6-Piece Classic Sheer Midgets Set at all! They're easy to store, one cup sitting inside another, lids in a short stack next to them. I put them in the top rack of my dishwasher for a quick, easy clean. If something does happen to them, Tupperware backs them up with their replacement warranty! You can't beat that!
