The Bottom Line Time for bonding, enhances imagination, & builds vocabulary

I started reading to my child when she was about three months old. By the
time she was thirteen months old she would go to her room and pick out a
book and bring it to me to read. She will soon be three and she is still very
interested in books.( She has her own little library in her room, thanks to
Grolier.)

I think reading to your child is not only educational but just a time to
bond. Every night before my little girl goes to sleep she wants me to read her
a book. Most of the time four to five books.

Our local Library has certain days that they have story time for little
ones. My little girl has gone a couple of times and just loves it. They read
them a few stories and give them a snack. It also gives her a chance to be
will other kids. (she is the only child)

Another place that she really enjoys going is to Books-a-million.
They have this little train where kids can get in and watch a little video.
They have little tables and chairs where they can do certain things, like
coloring, putting puzzles together. They also have story-time. I believe that
learning should be a fun time.
