Pros:No Computer needed! Great Prints! Cost savings!
Cons:Expensive Ink! Slow Prints! Expensive Paper (if you want photo paper)
The Bottom Line: Great printer for those of you who still use 35mm film because of the quality of developing. This does just what the developers do. Excellent quality.

Purchased this printer about 6 months ago, and I am still impressed.

First of all, we wanted to get a new printer (I previously had an HP Deskjet 800 series) due to the fact that my wife is a creative memories fanatic. We are photo buffs, and before we bought this printer we had around 40 rolls of film to be developed. As you all know, figure $2 per roll for initial purchase, and $6 per roll to develop. That's $320 just to develop the film...and who knows if you'll even use it!

At any rate, the reason I went with this line, was due to the fact that you don't need to work through the computer to print your pictures! My wife, who will be using it, doesn't know much about computers, and this is perfect for her. She puts the flash card in the printer, and the LCD screen shows the pictures on the card. She just prints out what she wants. Talk about savings! That alone is worth the price of this printer.

The design is sleek, and the printer is relatively quiet. I have not had a single paper jam, and the ink cartridges last around 200 pictures for us. I have seen that vary, so I am not exactly sure what the differences are. In researching this printer, I've seen some reviews state 40 pictures, but we have never seen that low.

Ink cartridges are a bit more expensive, but as I previously mentioned, figure the cost of buying and developing film, the cost is a steal. Of course, we do take a LOT of pictures, so that is where you gain in terms of cost.

The printer can take an assortment of photo cards, and each work the same. This is great, because you don't have to hook the camera up to it, or a secondary card reader, thus eliminating any chances of non-compatability.

It does take it's sweet time printing, however, and that would be it's only drawback. But if you look at it, we live in a 'microwave' society...we want everything done right this second. Well, if you want excellent results in terms of print, I'd rather it take its own sweet time, rather than buzz through and give us pictures with the horizontal lines. Ugh!

To get photo quality prints, you should use photo paper, and that is a little more expensive as well, but like I mentioned before, based on our usage of 35mm film, the cost savings overall is still there.

Weigh your usage before purchasing a printer!

Overall, Me and my wife love it. She's tickled pink about how it prints, and the ease of use, and I am happy because it saves us money as well!

Fantastic printer!
