Pros: Great screen, sharp images, great dvd, good for presentations, best lap top sound system.
Cons: Distracting reflection producing screen frame, heavy, hot, and a keyboard that sucks.
The Bottom Line: Use this computer a while before buying. Maybe good depending on your applications. P-25 is a case of extremes - some things are excellent, but others are terrible.

| duggerdm's Full Review: Toshiba Satellite P25-S507 (PSP20U-00VY3V) PC Note... |
The other early reviews have said most of the pertinent stuff. We know Toshiba builds durable laptops - the P25 is not exception regarding durability. However, Toshiba should take a few human anatomy lessons.
I will never buy another desk top and the Toshiba is in general an excellent replacement for most desk top applications - if you want to occasionally take your computer with you - as long as you are willing to backpack it. The P25 has the best lap top sound system that I have heard and the screen rivals any other that I have seen - except the glossy black reflection/glare producing frame around it. Yes, fine sand paper will make it a matt finish.
Besides its heft - Toshiba really let its customers down on what could have been a great portable computer. The key board has non-standard key layout, a touch pad that is right in the way of your normal size palms - cursor goes flying constantly even with great care. Pad should have been lower out of reach of most hand movements instead of at the surface of the key board. If you have large hands - you will have to turn off the touch pad and use a separate mouse. Even though more than 50% of the massive deck is totally empty and could have held a comfortable full size and even padded ergonomic key board - Toshiba chose an 11 inch wide, non standard/reduced key layout, carpal tunnel generating midget. They could take a lesson from some of the Samsung laptops a few years ago that had split swing out keyboards. That would be my single largest complaint - terrible keyboard. Yes, you can use a separate keyboard and a mouse - but with this 10 pound $2000 + lap top monster - you would wonder why you would have to. I hope a Toshiba designer reads this and sends a wake up call to the home office.
Even with three fans that are relatively quiet, the P25 gets far too hot to sit in your lap for an extended period - without damaging the potential of your future generations. Typical battery life for me is about 2-3 hours - which is good for most heating devices.
In summary - great screen, with sharp images, great dvd performance, would be good for business/sales presentations, best lap top sound system I could find. Key board is a pure Inquisition torture device.
Recommended accessories - separate wireless keyboard, optical mouse, a backpack with truss, wheels to move around on desk, a small trailer for distance hauling and a lap ice pack.
