If you're like most people, then you hate to run out to your local Walmart or computer store when you run of ink, especially when you have a paper or report that's due. Convenience is certainly costly when it comes to purchasing these last- minute ink cartridges.
I originally visited 123 Inkjets and looked at their prices because it was part of a network of over 300 companies that I could shop at and get anywhere from 2%-25% off just by shopping online through their website. When my mother returned home one evening with a bill for close to $100 for 2 black and 1 color cartridge that she had purchased at a local computer store that day, my eyes nearly popped out of their sockets. Afterall, I had seen the same inkjet cartridges online for 1/3 of the price she had just paid. At which point I immediately went to their websites through the special link I had and was astounded at the differences in ink prices. This review will begin with my personal experience and will have more descriptive details towards the end.
Our printer is an Epson Photo Sylus 875 and takes T008201 and T007201 cartridges to run. Imagine my delight to find them in stock. The price for 1 black cartridge is $7.95. The same blank ink cartridge my mom purchased cost her 34.95. The price for 2 cartridges goes down to $7.45 an item and finally if you order 5 or more the price per cartridge is only $6.95....... Now, that was the black cartridge or the T007201.
The color cartridge or T008201 is $10.95 for one or two at $9.95 per item. Once again the difference in price is huge. My mom's color cartridge cost her $24.95 at the local store. That's close to 50% in savings right there. By going online and purchasing the same 3 items I spent a Grand Total of about $26 before taxes. In addition, the store had a special 10% coupon code which I used that brought my total closer to the $23 range and after taxes end up about $25 total. I saved well over $75 just by shopping smart and not procrastinating to order ink. But wait, there's still more. In addition to the discount I already received, by going through this special link with my company I received an additional 15% off. So my $25 ink ultimately only cost me $22. This other company is free to join and if you shop online I would highly recommend it. Next, I did get to take advantage of the free shipping special they were having at the time. Shipping has since become free for the continental US or 48 states. Checkout process was very easy and I received an email instantly alerting me to my confirmation number. The ink was received the ink in about a week. My plan of attack now is to make sure we have 3 black and 2 color around so that when we get down to 1 of each we simply restock. This saves us from last-minute purchases of ink that is ridiculously high. Thats my success story.
Now onto the more important minor details lol. The website is very patriotic in red, white, and blue. I found the search engine and site easy to navigate and find what I was looking for.

Now that you've spent money and ordered your new cartridges, what can you do with the old ones? At 123 Inkjets you receive .50 for each inkjet cartridge and $1 for toner cartridges. To recycle must have a minimum of 5
inkjet cartridges or 2 toner cartridges. They provide you with the shipping label so it costs you nothing to recycle your ink and actually makes your ink prices cheaper when you do so.
To receive payment make sure you wrap the empty ones individually in newspaper.
Include the following with your empties and also with your email to them at: empties@certifiedink.com
Your Name
Your Full Address
Telephone Number
Email Address
A list of the empties being shipped to us (please include the quantity of each type of cartridge
It is very important to include all of that information otherwise you will not receive a shipping label to use for mailing.
The process generally takes about 7 days after they receive your empties to send you your reward.
Onto my one big complaint about the company and that is that when i tried to use one of the ink cartridges in my printer with a store bought one it would not allow me to do so. Now that may just be a problem with my printer. The ink from the store worked well just didn't work well with the ink from them and vice-versa.
Other than that minor thing, which has now become irrelevant because all ink purchases are now made online and as such will all be 123 inkjet ink. If you do any kind of comparison shopping online, then you should notice that the majority of things are less expensive online and ink certainly is no exception to this. I will continue to buy ink online and other items as well because anytime I can get an additional rebate of 2-20 % off of an item just for going through a certain link, it's worth it. Pennies saved add up to dimes and so forth.
Take heed with Christmas coming shop early and shop online to get the best deals. I certainly intend to take advantage of all the great deals and the rebates I receive which will allow me to purchase more items to review.
