The Bottom Line Will I ever get my money?
Well! About a year - a year and a half ago, I signed up at epinions, making some cash, and loving it! They were pretty much handing money out when I first signed up! 10 cents per article view! I made quite a bit pretty fast. Later to find out, you could only redeem your money if you were in the United States. They said that they would make money available to those outside of the US soon. For those of you who don't know, Epinions.com is similar to WrittenByMe.com accept you cannot write stories or poetry, you write reviews or your opinion on a product "helping others" to make their purchasing descisions. So I continued to write my reviews and opinions on products. Earning more money. Then a little while ago, they say that if you live outsaide the US you can redeem your Eroyalties (money)... but you have to have 100$ or more in your account. I had about $80.00 or so in my account when I made this discovery. So every so often, I would do another review trying to increase my Eroyalties. I now have over $100.00 in my account, and went to redeem my money. I see their form only to find out, I need a TIN! (Tax Income Number) from the States! Oh great I said! So I downloaded all the forms, and so forth, filled em' out, to find yet another obstacle. I need to fill out EVEN MORE forms just to be able to place my ID on the TIN forms! I have just rescently found out that to get these forms to put my ID on the TIN forms will cost me $50 US currency! So now I'm only expecting $50.00 from epinions... They are cutting my earnings in half! Which I think is total BullHockey! I'm just wondering how many more form I will have to fill out? Will I have to fill out a form for each stamp I use to mail these forms to you? Will I have to sign more forms if I sign my name on them? I am expecting many more obstacles and forms to try and stop me from getting my hard-earned cash! All these IRS TINs are BullHockey for epinions.com to be using! I got a check from Themestream.com no problem at all. No TIN forms to fill out, or anything. Themestream is similar to Epinions.com and Writtenbyme.com... You can write anything there, reviews, opinions, poetry, stories, you name it. I truly and honestly think epinions.com is trying to jerk their Non-US members around by making it next to impossible to redeem their Eroyalties. Which truly makes me upset. I have spent over a year there trying to make this money. With nothing but good things to say about them. I even refered some people to epinions.com! Lots of people actually, and this is the thanks I get for getting them more money! I have literally spent hours on end on this site, trying to do good reviews for them, for what? about 10 - 50 cents per review? I'm sorry I thought it would be worth it. I thought it would be rewarding to receive a check for $100.00 for doing something I love (writing). But you have made it a back-breaking process! I never would have thought epinions.com would try to do this to me. Try to scam me of my money. Well THANK YOU EPINIONS.COM for wasting my valuable time! I just hope I can eventually drain that $100.00 from your account just to see you be that much poorer! --Pasius  |
