Sundance Catalog is the best! Everything is so unique and many of the items are actually affordable.

Their customer service is unlike any I have dealt with. A few months ago, a section of a necklace I had got loose. The item was bought several years ago. Called them up; they looked me up in their computer system... I returned it and they sent me a new one right away. And right now they even have a live chat with a real person to answer questions.

My only complaint would be their shipping prices. It's done by order price, which doesn't make sense. Why would a $300 necklace cost more to ship than a $50 necklace?

I'm not sure I would categorize myself as a "cowgirl", but I do live in Arizona where a Southwestern flavor is stamped everywhere it seems. Many of the items in Sundance are classically styled, and well-made. The gift items are gorgeous, and I am more apt to buy for others than spend it on myself. I'll have to peruse the catalog next time it arrives, and think about splurging. A girl needs to do that every now and then... right?

Happy Trails,
Mary

Hi Mary!

Are you a cowgirl too? Everything I have bought from this catalog has been on sale. I really love the merchandise but find that it is too expensive for me and overpriced generally. The sale prices are more reasonable and occasionally you can get a steal.

Thanks so much for your comment!

Hi,

The smell definitely came from the sweater because I didn't notice it until I opened the plastic bag the sweater was wrapped in, then Phew! The smell was awful. I hung it up in the hall for a couple of hours and the smell completely faded. I think they either dry cleaned the sweater or added some fabric finishing to it and then sealed it in the plastic too soon. However, the fault could lie with the manufacturer and not Sundance. In any case, the problem seemed to resolve so I didn't even have to contact the company.

Your experience sounded pretty bad. I would return it in a hurry.

this catalog, but the problems is I can't afford most of the stuff in it. Oh, and me too. I thought the proceeds went to charity. I guess we just think a like... old, white, male who acted in The Sting. Nice review!

... the mystery smell ... (Reply to this comment)

I have to ask this - as strange as it may seem, this happened to me. I ordered a heavy sweatshirt from a company and when it arrived it smelled horrible. Not like a chemical but not like dead rotting flesh - sort of like a mystery smell that you can't put your finger on. I called the company and they send 'send it back and we'll check it out' and they sent me a new one. Weeks later their customer service team track down the issue - it wasn't them, it was the carrier. Some how it was placed next to something that broke open or a box that had something that was leaking out of it - and you guessed it - it got on the box. I have no doubt that eventually it would have went away on its own or after a good washing - but damn, that initial smell almost knocked me over :]

A long winded comment on a great review :]

....and this line cracked me up:

I guess I confused Robert Redford with another old white male actor, Paul Newman.

Both are a couple of good looking old white male actors in my book. Course, I'm an aging white female. LOL

Keep up the great writing.....kath
