Mr Clean Magic Easers (Reply to this comment)
by momita
Having finally gotten around to try my easers out I had to stop within 3 minutes or so because my lips started tingling from whatever chemical is in the darn thing! Plus looking on the package, it doesn't not list ingredients. If it is bleach they are using for this product that could be why I started having a reaction but they definitely should list the ingredients for those of us sensitive to certain cleaners.
They started out great, nice and lightweight fitting comfortably in one's hand and as I started I thought "wow" this could work. Sorry guys, probably is a great product for most everyone wish I was one.

Who knew it did cars too? (Reply to this comment)
by aessedai
I got wood stain on the bumper of my car a year ago and I was afraid to try a harsh cleaner in case the original paint got damaged. Today I tried my Mr.Clean eraser and WOW!!! Off came the year old paint and while I was at it, I removed all of the tiny surface rust spots that were starting too, all in 10 minutes. The paint is sparkling and the car looks like new. I can't believe how versatile this product is.

Re: Another magic cleaning product (Reply to this comment)

I was a little skeptical when I first heard about these, but after my granddaughters wrote on the back of the bathroom door in my brand-new custom built house, I was glad that I had purchased a package. The crayons came off like magic! Since then, since the girls have not learned yet that crayons and walls don't match, my son has had to use the other magic eraser twice more. I babysit my granddaughters at my son's house, which he rents from me, and had a friend over. I showed her the magic eraser and how it worked so well on crayons. She had to borrow it to take home to her house to see if it works as well on magic markers. As has been noticed, it does not last all that long, but it's still cheaper a new paint job! I consider it a bargain! We, my son, my friend and I, are all going to stock up. Gloria

It is truly Magical! (Reply to this comment)
by lp2kids
I have 2-inch grey tiles on my bathroom floor that are grouted in white. For the last year, I've been trying to find a product to thoroughly clean the grout which has become every shade from gray to almost black!
Magic Eraser to the rescue! This product is amazing! I used it gently on all the grout lines (as well as on the tile itself) and I now have an amazingly clean floor.
This is a must-own product especially if you've got kids.
Though the erasers don't last a long time, the cost is well worth it when they do the impossible; erase the messes that no other products can handle.
I'll tell everyone I know about this product.
A real winner!

Daughter's Product Review Magic Eraser (Reply to this comment)
by phylsb
Well, it isn't often that I recommend a certain product for purchase. But today I tried a new one that blew me away! Today I had to clean bathrooms. Yes, those horrible bathrooms. Can we all just say MEGA-GROSS? My personal bathroom I am ashamed to say was beyond gross. You know that I have to use hair spray to get this big ole hair of mine and well, it just grosses up a bathroom. There's lots of filmy grime in there, if you get my drift. Today I used a MR. CLEAN MAGIC ERASER. This one sponge cleaned my vanity AND mirror (wiped with clean towel after use on mirror), my shower stall and door, (ultra mega gross in there), my bathtub,(is a big one) my floor, and my toilet! UNREAL, this thing. It went right through all of the caked on hair spray grime and yuck like a flash. I couldn't believe it. I just kept rinsing it in a sink full of hot water and it just kept on going and going. (kind of like the energizer bunny!) So, I now am forced to tell everyone I know about this thing so that they too may experience the thrill of cleaning with ease!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You know that area right underneath the faucet in front that is so hard to really get at? This thing conforms its shape and zooms on in leaving no prisoners behind! It's cheap. You can toss it when you're done and it was fun to use!!!!!!!!!!! I give it a perfect "10". So hey, try it. You might just like it!!!!

I feel so bad (Reply to this comment)
by lorace
That I never, personally, answered these comments from you all. I got unreasonably busy (somewhere - doing something) and I just let it slide until it got to the point of stupidity.
I hope each of you knows that I did read and did appreciate each comment so much. In fact, they are the greatest part of writing reviews. It is so wonderful that you'd take time out of your busy schedules to comment on such a mundane review as this. lol on the mundane.
Please forgive me and MsMorvay, Kay, Shantel, Margaret, Wanda, Ginger, Jillian, Wendy, Letta, and Kath, please consider yourselves thanked and responded to.
Never again will I let this feature go.
Luv you all,
Lorace
Just noticed - no men commented. Ha ha - guess they don't erase - they just fade away!

That's so neat, Margaret. Sorry you had that mess, though. Isn't it frustrating?
I'll never forget when we had our roof done. The "idiots" that tore of the old shingles didn't warn us or anything and we had a houseful of black whatever that fell through every vent - it put out the hot water heater and for months afterwards, our place was in a "black snow mode."
Wish I'd had my eraser then. LOL
Glad it worked for you - and yes, there are SOME limitations.

Follow-up (Reply to this comment)
by Penguinlady
Well, after reading this, I went out and bought a box. I got a 4-pack for about $4.25, I think.
The idiots who painted the interior of our house swore up and down that they could refinish our acres of hardwood as well. Well, they couldn't, but in the process of trying, they managed to get big ugly handprints and scuffs all over the walls THEY had just painted a few days before. We fired 'em.
We found a pro today who will come in next week, but I grabbed my Eraser and went around the house erasing the hand-prints and scuff marks the idiots had left, and lo and behold, they're gone. Not all of them are totally gone; I think maybe the paint was just still uncured enough that it absorbed some of the gunk and won't come totally clean. But enough came off that I'm sold on this product.
Thanks for introducing it to me!

one of these as a sample in the mail. I have admit I just stared at it for a couple minutes not knowing what to do with it. I didn't know if you needed to use a cleaner with it or not. I still have not tried it. Now that I have read your review, I am looking forward to giving it a try on a few things. Thanks for the great review.

"I must be the only one here who did not receive a coupon or a sample for the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser."
Not only did I not receive a coupon or sample, I'd never heard of these things until I read your review! Humph.
These sound wonderful, and I'll look for them next time I'm at the store. Only problem is that YOU don't come with 'em. I sure could use your energy to clean up my pig sty!
Thanks for pointing these out to me, gal.

this online from a link I received in a freebies newsletter.
Forgot about it and about 6 weeks later got a full sized free (eraser) in the mail. Same blue and white packaging.
I used it on all the doors in the house and on the wall paper in the kitchen hallway. All total I've used it 5 times on 6 doors and its still holding together nicely. I was shocked at the amount of dirt I got off my clean looking front door.
Take care.

Margaret, Great question. I was too general in my review - I've updated it but in order to keep you from having to re-read, here's what I put in it.
I've found that these erasers will last through a pretty thorough general housecleaning. Then the next time I'd use it, it would do only a few small jobs before it would disintegrate. The shower door and shower were done with a new Eraser, leaving it unfit for any future usage. I'd say one would last about 3 days - but each person's usage differs.
Thanks so much,
Lorace

Sounds nifty, but... (Reply to this comment)
by Penguinlady
It isn't clear to me just how long these erasers last. When you say they don't last long, are you talking in terms of one shower door, or one whole house, or... what? They sound pretty cool and I may try them for some of the scuffs on our tile floors that just won't come up any other way. But how many packages should I buy?

Great review..... (Reply to this comment)
by kamel622
.....as always Lorace! It sounds like you try new products the way I do...
I think I reacted to the newness of it all by running helter-skelter around the house and dabbing here and there with my first eraser
I have a box of these erasers sitting in the kitchen and am just waiting for time and motivation to put them to use.
My kitchen cabinets are white and like you said: Its amazing how soiled they can get from our clean hands!
It is odd that only two adults live in this house and yet the cabinets look like a bunch of kids with dirty hands have been at them. LOL
Thanks for the wonderful review...makes me really want to put mine to use......but it will have to wait at least until tonight..my little ones should be here soon. :)
