Pros: clean, quiet, accessible. Reasonable price by Zurich standards, and offers Air France miles.
Cons: Not within short walking distance of central Zurich's main shopping and dining areas.
The Bottom Line: Great mid-range hotel. Recommended for business travellers or romantic vacationers looking for clean comfort at a reasonable price.

Stayed here on a recent visit to Zurich. Recently purchased by the Mercure chain, I found this hotel on the Accor website's last minute internet special. (accorhotels.com - Accor owns Mercure, along with other big chains like Etap, Ibis, Novotel, Sofitel, etc...) Given the high price of Zurich hotels, I decided to give it a try. Not disappointed at all.
The hotel is very accessible to the airport (15 minutes), and the major highways heading south out of Zurich towards Luzern and Interlaken. The hotel provides parking for a modest fee (around CHF5 to CHF10 if memory serves). You're best to leave the car at the hotel and ride the tram if you need to get around Zurich. There's a tram station right in front of the hotel, and the trams really do run with the legendary Swiss efficiency - clean and on time. Buy a day pass (Tageskarte) for around CHF8 that is good for 24 hours, and ride all you want. The hotel is only 10 minutes by tram to the central Paradeplatz/Bahnhoffstrasse stop where you can visit your private bank, go shopping and eat lots of chocolate (whatever you do, don't miss the chocolate truffles at Sprungli!!!).
The service was very friendly and offered in flawless English if needed. Little touches like turn-down service and chocolates at the front desk were a nice touch.
Rooms were spacious by European standards and included TV, safe, umbrella, very clean bathrooms, desk, and travel magazines. Also very quiet. Plenty of towels in the bathroom (but why do European hotels all have such small towels?), and the little things like fancy shampoos and stuff.
We did not use the restaurant/bar, but I understand it is of high quality.
