The Bottom Line Overall, this show seriously kicked. If Godsmack comes into your town, you better Wake the F*** Up!!!

I saw Godsmack in at the Hirsch in Shreveport, LA on their Wake the F*** Up tour. Special guests were Systematic, Cold and Staind. This show was amazing. Every band did an excellent job... well, maybe not Cold, they did decent.
The first band to play was Systematic, a band I had never heard of before. They seriously kicked. They had everyones attention. If you haven't heard of this band, check them out.
Like I said before, Cold did a decent show. They could have done better. They totally ripped up Just Got Wicked for their last song, so I guess that song made up for it.
Staind was AWESOME. I had no idea they sounded that good live. They also came close to upstaging Godsmack. VERY close. I can't wait to see this band live again.
Godsmack finally came on and put on a helluva show. There was a wierd little cartoon playing before they came on stage. They started with Sick of Life and got anyone jumping. They ran through a set of songs from their Awake CD, including Bad Magik, Vampires, and Awake. They then tore into some songs from their s/t like Bad Religion and Keep Away. Sully was getting angry at the floor crowd and told them to "make one big mother-f***ing pit!!!". He also brought some girls onstage. One dude from the floor threw a beer bottle at Sully and he was not too happy. Sully may not have had the best time, but I sure did.
One of the coolest parts of the Godsmack set was Sully's ten minute drum solo. He brought out this little tribal drum kit and just pounded away. He showed their real drummer up!
When Godsmack left the stage, everyone held up lighters and chanted their name. They came back and did an encore of Voodoo and Whatever. Somehow, Sully managed to get 20 something people from the crowd up on the stage while they played Whatever. It was awesome.
