Tyco Equals Quality

The Bottom Line Tyco equals quality, not only in their products, but in time spent playing with their products.

Yes, Tyco brand Radio Control cars are much more expensive than some of the other brands, but I really don't mind spending the extra cash on Tyco. They are built well, good quality, and last for many years.

My oldest son has had the Tyco RC Slammer for four years now and it still runs great. I seem to recall that Christmas was the best Christmas he ever had. That was the one present he wanted more than anything. Over the years I have always tried to get my kids that one thing they really, really wanted. Then I buy them other small stuff just as I can afford it. It's been tough with three children, but I think we've done pretty well. And this past Christmas was no different with a repeat performance from our youngest son.

When asked what one thing he really, really wanted for Christmas last year, his answer was "The Tyco Speedwrench Mom! It's really cool! You can take the tires off and change them and everything!" He was so excited, I just knew that I had to get it for him.

Being the tough year that it was for us last year, I was somewhat disappointed as I headed out to find this toy at the stores. When I found out the price, plus also the cost of the battery pack to go with it, I ever so gently informed my youngest son that he might not get anything else at all. That was definitely ok with him, as long he got the Speedwrench, that was all he wanted.

We bought the Tyco RC Speedwrench at Wal-Mart, on sale for $49.99. The battery pack needed was $29.99. But you know what? I don't regret forking out the bucks at all. Here it is almost April, and that Tyco Speedwrench has been worth every penny I paid. It still sits out daily, either run down or being charged up. He plays with it constantly.

And you know what else? The quality time my two sons, ages 13 and 8, are spending together is priceless. They have spent some really neat quality fun time together outside these past few months, running their cars together - the Slammer vs. the Speedwrench.

I will never be afraid to buy Tyco brand. We have had other brands of radio controlled cars in the past, and the quality of those, compared to Tyco, was very poor. These Tyco vehicles are great for any age from the youngest child to the oldest father. (Yes, even Dad likes to run them.) I have absolutely no complaints about either Tyco product we have purchased and I would recommend Tyco brand products to anyone considering purchasing one.
